Join the Platform for Filipino Voices: Livestream on Kumu!

We want to build something cool with you, and hope you’re game for a bit of an adventure.

Hello kababayan!

We’re Kumu, a social media platform powered by Filipino creativity.

Our vision at Kumu is to build the most powerful platform possible for Filipino creatives and communities. Over the next few years, we’re developing a robust super-app and a whole digital economy with everything from micropayments, virtual gifts, premium content, e-commerce, games, and subscriptions for Filipino creators and their followings.

We want to see Filipino voices and talents get the audience and resources they deserve — for Filipino stories to be told in whole new ways — so we’re building a dedicated home for them on the mobile internet.

We’re early stage right now, with an MVP that features livestreaming, voice and video calls, and messaging. We’re inviting you to help us build this network from the ground up as a livestreamer!

As an early member of our creator network, you will receive preferred placements on Kumu’s Explore tab, Timeline banners, and social media accounts.

You’ll also receive early access to several upcoming features coming to Kumu over the next year:

  1. Kumu Coin cryptocurrency as rewards for user engagement
  2. Tipping and virtual gifts convertible into cash from your audience
  3. Raising monthly subscriptions from your most loyal supporters
  4. Your pre-recorded content featured on our Explore tab

Most importantly, you’ll be joining a growing creator community made of a diverse and inspiring network of Filipino talent, including:

  • Vicky Herrera of She Talks Asia, a platform that empowers women to lead in a fast-evolving world
  • Dee Jae Paeste, a graffiti and mural artist who shows us his view on the community of creatives in Poblacion
  • Kristian Kabuay of Baybayin: Culture x Art x Business, integrating contemporary art with traditional Filipino scripts, and sharing reflections on the business of culture bearing
  • Trish Terrado as Millennial Morena, sparking discussions on what it means to be a brown-skinned young Pinay in the workforce
  • Cal Soesanto as Little Girl on a Big Bike (LGBB), a biker who shares her thoughts on topics that range from motorbikes to social issues
  • Olga Adriano on Rants, Raves, and Revelations, as well as Kumu After Dark, an anything-goes conversation on taboo topics
  • Harry Calnea aka BahagHarry, hosting discussions on art and creativity

… and many more! We hope to count you as part of the movement soon.
